02Data we collect
Visiting the website does not require you to give us any personal data. We only collect data when you contact us:
- through the contact form: name, email, phone number, reason for your enquiry and the message you write;
- by email, phone or WhatsApp: the information you choose to share with us.
Your name and e-mail address are required so that we can reply to your request; the other fields are optional. Without them, we cannot contact you.
When you send the form, we also record the page you sent it from and, where applicable, the advertising campaign that brought you to the website.
Please do not share detailed medical information in the form: this information is collected during your consultation, under medical confidentiality.
03How we use your data
- to answer your requests for information, comments or suggestions;
- to book and manage assessments and consultations;
- to understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, so we can improve our communication.
04Legal basis
- steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to answer your requests and book consultations;
- our legitimate interest (point (f)) in knowing where enquiries come from;
- your consent (point (a)), when we ask for it, for example for marketing communications. You can withdraw it at any time.
05Who has access to your data
Your data is processed by the Amado Clinic team and by service providers acting on our behalf, under contracts that guarantee its protection:
- Odoo S.A. (Belgium), which hosts our contact management system (Odoo);
- Vercel Inc., which hosts the website.
- Google Ireland Ltd., which provides Google Analytics (visit statistics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
We may also disclose data where required by law, by court order or at the request of the competent authorities. We never sell your data.
06Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers, such as Vercel, or Google and Meta when you use Google Maps, YouTube or WhatsApp, may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In those cases, transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
07How long we keep your data
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Contact requests are kept for 1 year.
If you become a patient of Amado Clinic, your medical data is kept for the legal periods that apply to medical records. After these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised.

Under the law, you have the right, at any time, to:
- access your personal data;
- ask for it to be corrected or updated;
- ask for it to be deleted, or for its processing to be restricted;
- receive your data in a structured format (portability);
- object to its processing, under the conditions set out in the law;
- withdraw your consent, where processing is based on it.
To exercise any of these rights, send a request to info@amadoclinic.pt. We will reply within one month at the latest.
09Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access restricted to authorised staff.
No transmission over the Internet is completely secure. We recommend that you keep your device and browser up to date.
10Complaints
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt, without prejudice to any other remedy.
