In this way, you will give feedback to the surgeon, and together you will arrive at the final result, guaranteeing your satisfaction.

Behind the ear, in a natural groove, so that the scar is not noticeable or visible at all.

Through stitches of a non-resorbable material, the ear cartilage is reshaped and repositioned to create the desired shape. In most cases, the ear is approximated to the skull as a whole, after which special attention is paid to the upper pole and lobe. In more extreme cases, cartilage may need to be removed.

It is recommended to wear a headband, similar to a tennis headband, every day for 1-2 weeks. After this period, you should wear this bandage to bed until you are four weeks post-operatively. Swelling and small bruises are common, but disappear within 1-2 weeks.

Wearing glasses can be resumed after the first 2 weeks. The post-operative period is generally not very painful, although there may be some discomfort, especially if you sleep on the operated area.

It can be seen immediately at the end of surgery, but it is likely that some swelling and minor bruising will develop in the following days. The final result is achieved again after a month.

The results of otoplasty are permanent. However, direct trauma to the auricles can compromise the outcome of the surgery, or even lead to new deformities.

It is important to avoid trauma to the ears during the recovery period.
